Halfway through the show, Kimmel pulled a prank on everyone not watching the Emmy’s by having 30 Rock star Tracy Morgan lie down on the stage and requested that everyone watching to tweet, “OMG Tracy Morgan passed out on stage, turn on ABC now!,” in an attempt to get more viewers.

A few of the winners were upsets to fans. The award for Supporting Actor/Actress in a comedy both went to Modern Family stars Eric Stonestreet and Julie Bowen. “Modern Family” also beat out “30 Rock” and other comedies in the best comedy category for the third year in a row.

Winning the award for best Variety Series was Jon Stewart from “The Daily Show with John Stewart.”  After Stewart’s name was announced, Jimmy Fallon, another nominee, tackled Stewart to the floor as he walked up to accept his award.
