(LUTV) – The St. Charles and Lindenwood communities came together Saturday, January 2, to honor an injured football player. Over three thousand supporters gathered in Hyland Performance Arena for this great cause.
The men’s basketball team took on their un-named rival, Central Missouri for the “Sell Out For Sterling” game.
Lindenwood University’s football cornerback, Sterling Thomas suffered from a spinal cord injury last fall at a home game. Thomas was transferred in November to Shepard Center in Atlanta, Georgia for direct treatment.
LUTV’s Melissa Spears was there to see the crowd’s reaction to the event.
