Then and now: the cost of five iconic campus buildings

This slideshow illustrates the five most iconic buildings of Lindenwood University and their cost the year they were built. An online inflation calculator was used to show how much the buildings would have cost if they were built in 2016. The order of the buildings starts with the least expensive and ends with the most expensive one. 

Harlen Hunter Stadium was built in 1976 and its cost at the time was $1,3 million. According to an inflation calculator, the cost in 2016 dollars would be almost $5,6 million.

Evans Commons was built in 2011 and its cost at the time was $20 million. According to an inflation calculator, the cost in 2016 dollars would be almost $22 million.

Library and Academic Resources Center was built in 2015 and its estimated cost at the time was $20 million. According to an inflation calculator, the cost in 2016 dollars would be almost $22 million.

Spellmann Center was built in 2002 and its estimated cost at the time was $18 million. According to an inflation calculator, the cost in 2016 dollars would be over $24.5 million.

The J. Scheidegger Center for the arts was built in 2008 and its estimated cost at the time was $32 million. According to an inflation calculator, the cost in 2016 dollars would be over $36.6 million.
