Christmas characters from past and present join for an annual event on Main Street in St. Charles.

For over 40 years, Christmas Traditions has brought the community together through joyful carolers, decorated streets, unique dining experiences and horse-drawn carriages.

Legendary characters include Santas from around the world, Jack Frost, Mother Goose, Ebenezer Scrooge, the Sugar Plum Fairy and more.

The event takes place every Wednesday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday from Nov. 24 through Dec. 24. On Wednesdays and Fridays, the festivities run from 6 p.m. – 9 p.m., Saturdays are from 11 a.m. – 9 p.m., and Sundays are noon – 5 p.m. The hours are different for the final day of the celebration, Dec. 24, when it runs from 11 a.m. – 2 p.m.
