Weekly crime log: Stealing possibly linked to Mathews cleanup

Dec. 14

  • Between the hours of 12 p.m and 11 p.m, a Madden 18 game and two controllers were reported as stolen from Flowers hall. The case is still open.

Jan. 2

  • On 5 p.m., $200 was reported as stolen from Mathews Hall. The case is closed and has been forwarded to the St. Charles Police Department.

Jan. 5

  • Between the hours of 12 p.m. and 5 p.m., an iPad Mini was reported as stolen from Mathews Hall. The case is closed and has been forwarded to the St. Charles Police Department.

John Bowman, the Director of Public Safety and Security said that the two incidents of stealing in Mathews Hall are being investigated to see if there is any connection between the renovations taking place within the building after pipes burst over winter break.

Jan. 6

  • Between 6:15 p.m. and 6:45 p.m., there were four incidents of a minor in possession of alcohol occurred in Mathews Hall. All cases have been closed and have been forwarded to the Office of Student Development for review.
