After digging up and stealing a tree outside of Blanton Hall early Sunday morning, two Lindenwood students were issued arrest summonses, according to St. Charles police.

Freshman Charlie Dickie of Lakeville, Minnesota, and freshman Kevin Kolb of Indianapolis, Indiana, dug up the tree around 1:35 a.m.. according to Lindenwood’s weekly crime log. Both students are on the lacrosse team.

Lt. Tom Wilkison, public information officer for the St. Charles Police Department,  said he was unsure of the court date for the students, but that the damage was estimated at $600.

Neither of the students nor their coach could be reached for comment.  Assistant athletics director for communications Mike Morgan said in an email Saturday that the incident is “not a legal issue and is being handle [sic] internally by the university.”
