Finding yourself counting down the days until Thanksgiving break? Still looking to fill the busy week ahead with some fun or relaxing distraction? Look no further than what we’ve got to share right here. Check out what’s going on this week around campus and the St. Charles community.

1.) Fall Music Series 

Monday, Nov. 12- Sunday, Nov. 18

Times vary – Tonight: 7:30 p.m.

Emerson Black Box Theater: J. Scheidegger Center

In the mood for some live music? Head on over to the Scheidegger, and support your fellow Lion musicians as they perform their fall music series. The series continues on until Sunday evening. General admission is free.

2.) Away in the Basement 

Tuesday, Nov. 13 

2 p.m.

The Playhouse at Westport Plaza 

Need a good laugh with finals on the horizon? You’re in luck, because the Playhouse is hosting a mid-afternoon comedy show with a holiday twist. Stop by between classes or take a break from studying to enjoy.

3.) Lions Declassified College Survival Guide 

Wednesday, Nov. 14 

6:30 p.m.

LARC Theatre 

With the semester beginning to wrap up, we’re all in need of some helpful tips and tricks to make life a little easier. Head over to the LARC Theatre to learn some ways you can make these last few weeks really count.

4.) Canstruction Contest

Thursday, Nov. 15

5 p.m.

Evans Commons Atrium

What better way to give back, than have a little fun while doing so? Evans is hosting a a can-struction contest. Gather cans, come and build your own piece of artwork and help the hungry in the process.

5.) 2018 Treasure Chest Holiday Expo

Friday, Nov. 16- Sunday, Nov. 18

Hours vary 

St. Charles Convention Center 

Maybe you’re already over fall and ready to move right on over to the abundance of Christmas festivities? If that’s the case, you’ll be happy to know that Friday through Sunday, the convention center is hosting a holiday expo. There you’ll be able to get a head start on your Christmas shopping and gain some inspiration for decorating your dorm or home.
