Beyond the Wall, a company who sells different merchandise for personal use with a specialty in dorm room apparel, is hosting this year’s poster sale at Evans Commons. Today is the second day of the sale, happening until 6 p.m.
“We are a bunch of sales teams that travel the country selling posters, mugs, and all kinds of different stuff to decorate your dorm rooms with, to eventually benefit student activities and organizations that benefit students,” said Beyond the Wall employee Anthony Adams.
The company donates a part of its sales back to the schools it visits. A percentage of the proceeds earned, will be directed back to the very school who purchases the merchandise.
“It depends on what the contract is,” said Laurene Regelmana, representative for Beyond the Wall. “I would say about 10-15 percent will go back to Lindenwood.”
The posters range from musical icons, to famous sports moments throughout the American lexicon. Lindenwood students have shown up and have been nothing but impressed and fully intend to contribute to the cause.
“I think it is a great opportunity for kids to not only enjoy famous moments, but to see moments that they may not be familiar with,” senior Alex Mattock said, when describing the posters. “I definitely plan on buying some posters.”
