Student Life and Leadership has changed its name to Student Involvement.

“We wanted a name that best encompassed what we do, so that students are never confused which department to reach out to when they want to get involved,” said Angela Royal, director of the department.

Student Involvement’s diverse work in areas of student organizations, Greek Life, Campus Recreation and student activities and government will remain unchanged.

The office recently changed location as well. What used to be the Student Organization Resource Center is now home to the Student Involvement office in Evans Commons 3040 The Residential Life Office has been moved nearby, to Evans Commons 3010.

In an effort to better serve students, according to Royal, Student Involvement and Residential Life will be working closer together this upcoming semester.

“Residential Life and Student Involvement staff are all very excited about the opportunities this will bring to students,” she said. “Being in the same building definitely facilitates the partnership.”
