The Hogwarts Feast has been attracting more and more students every year it has been celebrated at Lindenwood, and this year it moved to Evans Commons.

Pedestal Foods and CAB worked alongside Pedestal Marketing coordinator Nikki Napolitano to transform Evans Commons into magical Hogwarts Wednesday night.

“It was definitely a team effort,” said Napolitano. “We are lucky enough at Evans Commons Dining Hall to have some amazing chefs that are able to create delicious themed food, for such a large amount of people.”

The feast featured eats from the book such as Weasley’s dragon-roasted nuts, butter beer and chocolate frogs, along with the usual dishes served during dinner time.

“It’s exciting for the students, and a nice change of pace,” said Evans cashier Julie Feesler, who is also a fan of J.K. Rowling. “I have read all seven of her books and have been a fan of the novel since the first came out.

Lindenwood Dining decided to hold the event this week in anticipation of the new movie “Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them,” also written by J.K. Rowling.

In the back of the cafeteria, a Quidditch table allowed students to “cast spells” as they heaved ping pong balls across the table. Harry Potter-theme music played throughout the cafe and Harry, Hermione and Ron were there — in the form of cutouts, of course.

“We have a lot of students who are fans of the book and who are really excited to go see the movie. Every year we have this event it seems to grow. There were around 200 more students than usual here at dinner tonight,” said Napolitano.
