Women’s lacrosse extends winning streak to five

The Lindenwood women’s lacrosse team defeated Northern Michigan University 18-4 in the team’s third home game of the season. 

Lindenwood’s Sophie Buelow scored the first goal just one minute and 14 seconds of the game. Her teammate Hailey Gallant followed up with another goal 45 seconds later, leaving the Lions with a 2-0 lead in the first two minutes of the game. 

Northen Michigan’s Emily Dvorak and Graison Ringlever scored one goal each at the 25:06 and 24:32 marks. 

The Lions were able to hold the Wildcats at those two goals for the remainder of the half.

At the half, the Lions were up 13-2. 

The second half of the game was lower scoring, with only five goals scored by Lindenwood and two by Northern Michigan. 

This win over the Wildcats leaves the Lions undefeated so far this season. 

Lindenwood will host Fort Lewis College on Wednesday, March 7 at the Harlen C. Hunter Stadium in St. Charles. The game starts at 7 p.m.
