Men’s basketball opened the home game scoring 12 of the first 16 points against Bellarmine University Wednesday night. They took a 12-4 into the first timeout. TJ Crockett led the Lions with seven points into the first few minutes of the play, making three shots.
In the first half, Cameron Scales made his third three-pointer with only nine minutes remaining before the first half ended.
The Lions lead with eight points after the first 20 minutes, but lost their lead to the Knights. Lindenwood lost to the Knights 81-73.

Men’s Ice Hockey DI
The Ice Hockey team traveled to Athens, Ohio Friday night to take on Ohio University at the Bird Arena.
The Bobcats took a quick lead, scoring in the first five minutes, but three goals in the second period by Ryan Finnegan and Colton Craigo lifted the team to victory, 4-1 against Ohio University.
The Lions had 38 total shots on goal and the Bobcats had 20.
But Saturday night Ohio University readjusted and beat the Lions 2-1. This was the first time the Lions lost a conference game this year.
The Lindenwood Lions are now 11-5 overall and 7-1 in the Central States Collegiate Hockey League.
The Lions will not be back competing on the ice until after winter break on Jan. 10 against Missouri State University at the Centene Community Ice Center in Maryland Heights, Missouri.

The Lindenwood’s Football team traveled to Arkadelphia, Arkansas Saturday to take on Ouachita Baptist for the first round of DII playoffs.
Ouachita Baptist lead at halftime by 21-17. Lindenwood came back with a late field goal with a 41-38 victory.
Despite the Tigers being ranked No. 5 and the Lions being the last seed in the bracket, Lindenwood upset Ouachita with a win. Quarterback Cade Brister was a standout, passing for 273 yards and scoring two touchdowns. Read the full play-by-play here.
This is the football program’s first NCAA Division II playoff victory. This Saturday, the Lions will take on Northwest Missouri State, a MIAA team, at 1 p.m.
