The Grand Art Bazaar will be held at The Grand Opera House located at 311 N. Main, St. Charles, Missouri on Wednesday, Oct. 22.

The event is a one night art exhibition that allows students and alumni of Lindenwood University to display and sell their art work to interested buyers.

The event is an independent, student driven art show that was organized by students and alumni to directly benefit other students and alumni of Lindenwood University.

Erica Kaiser, a student at Lindenwood University, helped organize the Art Bazaar and she expressed her optimism about the event and the impact it could have on the communities of Lindenwood University and St. Charles.

“We hope to see people from the Lindenwood and St. Charles community come out to support the arts, and we, as students, want to take advantage of this exclusive occasion to show off our talents,” said Kaiser. “We expect a lively social gathering that is focused on both selling and promoting art.”

Along with an opportunity for students to display their hard work and make money, the Grand Art Bazaar serves as an extension of practical education outside of the classroom.

Students participating in this event will be able to gain experience as entrepreneurs and professional artists by promoting their artwork within a positive community.

For many students this is the first time that they have been able to publicly show off their art work, so the environment in which their work is being displayed could potentially empower them personally and professionally.

The Grand Art Bazaar runs from 6:30 p.m. to 9:30 p.m., and the organizers of the event sincerely hope that along with students, alumni, and the general public to attend, that patrons of Main Street would stop by to enjoy the art display.
