Two local First Amendment experts will be speaking at Lindenwood on the topic of free speech and inclusion on Wednesday, March 16.

The event, titled: “Free Speech and Inclusion-Friends of Foes,” will be held in the Anheuser-Busch Leadership room in the Spellmann Center from 6:30-8 p.m. It is being hosted by the Plaster School of Business and Entrepreneurship.

The two speakers for the event are Ari Cohn and Jeffrey Mittman. Cohn is the senior program officer for the Foundation for Individual Rights in Education, better known as FIRE. Mittman is the executive director of the American Civil Liberties Union (ACLU) of Missouri.

The event is being described as an informative exchange of ideas about the topic, including what role free speech has in our society today, specifically on college campuses.

Following the scheduled talk, there will be an open question and answer session, where the audience will be able to discuss issues pertaining to the topic of free speech.

The event is free and open to the public. No registration is required for entry.
