5 Fun things to do this weekend

Looking for something fun to do this weekend? From campus to Forest Park, there are a wide variety of events taking place in the St. Louis area over the next few days:

  1. Illuminite at Frontier Park
    Head on down to Frontier Park in Historic St. Charles on Friday, Sept. 9 for a night of music, food and family sun. The event runs from 5 p.m. to 10 p.m. and will feature music from Groovethang, The Ultimate Party Band.[su_spacer size=”20″]
  2. The Blues Brothers
    On Saturday, Sept. 10, Right on Lindenwood’s campus at the J. Scheidegger Center for the Arts, The Blues Brothers will be performing, including Elwood Blues, half of the original group. This high-energy, rhythm and blues show starts at 8 p.m. and will feature all of the classics, including everybody’s favorite, “Soul Man.”[su_spacer size=”20″]
  3. Beyoncé Formation World Tour
    On Saturday Sept. 10 “Queen B” will be performing at the Dome at America Center in St. Louis. Doors for the concert open at 7:30 p.m. where the musical superstar will be performing crown favorites as well as songs from her most recent album, Lemonade.[su_spacer size=”20″]
  4. LouFest
    Forest Park in St. Louis will be hosting the 2016 Loufest on Sept. 10 and 11. This two-day music festival will go from 11 in the morning until 10 at night featuring headliners like LCD Soundsystem and Ms. Lauryn Hill.[su_spacer size=”20″]
  5. 105.7 The Point Presents Blink-182
    On Sunday, Sept. 11 Blink-182 joins A Day to Remember and the All American Rejects at the Hollywood Casino Amphitheater. This is Blink-182’s first tour since the release of their newest album, California. It is also their first tour featuring Matt Skiba from Alkaline Trio in place of Tom DeLonge, the band’s former guitarist and vocalist.
