In hopes of filling the home stands in Hunter Stadium, the Lindenwood athletics department will offer giveaways to fans at three sporting events this weekend.
“We picked some items that have practical use for students,” Lindenwood’s game-day coordinator Drew Hill said. “They are also a good way to show off some school spirit around campus.”
Lindenwood-themed sunglasses, beanies and lunchboxes will be the three items up for grabs. Each item will be available exclusively at a specific event during the weekend and are limited to a specific quantity. Listed below is the information for each giveaway:

Fans who arrive early enough at the stadium will receive a voucher which can be redeemed for the giveaway at the end of game. Organizers say an announcement will be made in the stadium when the items can be retrieved.
“The point is to get people to stay until the end of the game,” Hill said. “The games can get exciting, and we hope getting people to sit through these events will draw some interest.”
Hill added that more giveaways are in the works for future home games. While the details have not been finalized, he says the athletic department is hoping to do one giveaway for every NCAA sports team on campus.
Past giveaways have included scarves, shirts, socks and a variety of other LU clothing items. Bobbleheads of former Lindenwood cornerback Pierre Desir and former lacrosse player Melissa Menchella have also been given away.
