A Sedalia man has been charged in a brawl that involved a wedding party on Main Street in St. Charles the night of Sept. 2.
Latreal Lamont Grant, 29, is facing a second-degree assault charge. Bail is set at $10,000 cash-only.
According to court documents, the fight occurred in the alley next to the Undertow Bar, 142 North Main Street, and resulted in two people being hospitalized. The scuffle was captured on the messaging app Snapchat, and showed men in formal wear throwing punches.
Grant struck a woman who was on her hands and knees after being pushed to the ground, police said, knocking her unconscious. She later was diagnosed with a concussion.
Grant told police he was very drunk and did not know he hit the victim, police said.
A court hearing to reduce Grant’s bond is scheduled for Oct. 2. He is being represented by attorney Steven C. Mandlman. A mug shot of Grant was unavailable Thursday.
