Here are the Lindenwood sports events on campus this week from Oct. 3 – Oct. 9. Students can earn points by checking into events on the Lindenwood Lion Pride app. Points can then be redeemed for prizes, including free Under Armour shoes and Papa John’s pizza. The app is available for free download on Apple’s App Store and the Google Play store.

MEN’S TENNIS VS MARYVILLE

1 p.m. | Wednesday, Oct. 4 | Lindenwood Tennis Courts

The Lindenwood men’s tennis team (1-0) will be taking on Maryville in its first home matches of the season. The Lions have started the season 1-0 after beating William Woods University in their first meet. The team has been led thus far by senior Andrei Masin, who has compiled a 9-1 record.

WOMEN’S SOCCER VS NORTHEASTERN STATE

7 p.m. | Friday, Oct. 6 | Hunter Stadium

WOMEN’S SOCCER VS CENTRAL OKLAHOMA

2 p.m. | Sunday, Oct. 8 | Hunter Stadium

The Lindenwood women’s soccer team (4-6) is coming off a 1-0 victory over Nebraska-Kearney in its last game. Prior to that, the Lions lost to Fort Hays State 2-1. Team captain Becky Roberts scored a goal in the game to make her the leading career goal-scorer in the Lindenwood NCAA era.

Lindenwood will be hoping to gain a few victories this weekend as the team inches closer to .500. The Lions face a stern test on Friday night when they take on undefeated Northeastern State (9-0). On Sunday the Lions face Central Oklahoma (5-4-1) in an afternoon game. The Lions will be looking to get more shots off this weekend after they were outshot 12-8 in their win against Nebraska-Kearney and 22-5 in their loss against Fort Hays State.

WOMEN’S VOLLEYBALL VS MISSOURI SOUTHERN

7 p.m. | Friday, Oct. 6 | Hyland Arena

WOMEN’S VOLLEYBALL VS SOUTHWEST BAPTIST

2 p.m. | Saturday, Oct. 7 | Hyland Arena

The Lindenwood women’s volleyball team (10-8) is coming off a successful two-game conference road trip which saw it defeat Emporia State and Washburn. The victories on the weekend were the Lions’ first MIAA wins of the season.

Look out for freshman Sadie Kosciuk (No. 14). Kosciuk has stepped up in injured middle hitter Alex Bogusz’s absence, leading the team in blocks and kills in its matches against Emporia State and Washburn.

The Lions will face Missouri Southern (9-9) on Friday night. Missouri Southern is coming off two losses this past weekend. Both teams will be looking to register their third MIAA win of the season.

On Saturday the Lions will match up with Southwest Baptist (2-16). Southwest Baptist is coming off four 3-0 losses in a row.

MEN’S SOCCER VS FORT HAYS STATE

11 a.m. | Sunday, Oct. 8 | Hunter Stadium

The Lindenwood men’s soccer team (5-4) will be riding a high when it takes on Fort Hays State (4-4-2) this Sunday. The Lions’ last match was a 5-1 victory over Ouachita Baptist University. The win propelled the Lions above .500. Striker Michele Ganz continues to lead the way for the Lions with seven goals on the season. Ganz has also compiled two MIAA Athlete of the Week awards.
