This week’s weather might tempt you to stay indoors, but there are many events going on to convince you otherwise. Here are five things you can do around Lindenwood’s St. Charles campus and in the greater St. Louis area!
1. Learn about sexually transmitted diseases, myths about them and the community resources available.
Tuesday, April 3
The Public Health Student Association at Lindenwood is hosting a sex education panel featuring members of the campus Health & Wellness Center. Topics include STD facts and myths, services offered by the health center, services offered in the St. Charles area and more. For more information on the panel, click here.
2. Rock out with Phi Sigma Sigma at the organization’s first philanthropy event.

Phi Sigma Sigma is hosting its first philanthropy event, Rock-A-Thon. The event will include a food truck, carnival games, face painting and live music. Featured performers include Lucie Switalski, Golden Line and Pure October. Admission is $5 or a bag of school supplies to be donated to the national philanthropy. 3. See the Lindenwood University Theater Program’s performance of “The Threepenny Opera.”

The Lindenwood Theater in the J. Scheidegger Center for the Arts
“The Threepenny Opera” is a take on the 18th-century play “The Beggar’s Opera” with “biting commentary on bourgeois capitalism and modern morality” according to Involve U. Tickets start at $5 for community members. Students and staff of Lindenwood University receive two complimentary tickets at the box office. For more information, click here.
4. Find out who will be Delta Zeta’s 2018 “Big Man on Campus.”

Lindenwood sorority Delta Zeta is hosting its annual “Big Man on Campus” pageant to benefit its national philanthropy, the Starkey Hearing Foundation. More information on Delta Zeta and the event can be found here.
5. Experience “Hamilton” at the Fabulous Fox Theatre.

The Broadway Musical “Hamilton” will take the stage at the Fox Theatre for the first time in St. Louis on Tuesday. The critically acclaimed show had 16 nominations for the 2016 Tony Awards, winning 11 of them. The book, music and lyrics written by Lin-Manuel Miranda tell the story of Alexander Hamilton.
