The Lions play their last home game of the year as they host the Central Missouri Mules (4-5) in week 10.

The 1 p.m. matchup will feature Senior Day festivities to commemorate the senior class and their journey throughout Lindenwood.

Lindenwood will be looking to rebound from last week’s 27-14 loss to Fort Hays State (7-2). The Lions couldn’t get anything moving offensively: going 2-12 on third down conversions, coming up with four three-and-outs, and having to punt eight total times.

In times of hardship for this Lions team, quarterback Cade Brister continues to be a bright spot. Last week, the redshirt freshman accounted for almost 3/4 of the team’s total offensive yardage, and was responsible for the team’s only two scores.

Coming up towards the end of the regular season, the Mules hold a 4-5 record: wins coming against Northeastern State (0-9) 62-10, Missouri Western (5-4) 51-14, Missouri Southern State (1-8) 61-7, and Nebraska-Kearney (4-5) 42-35. UCM lost three out of their last four games, including a record of 0-4 on the road.

While the Lions have their redshirt freshman quarterback, so do the Mules. Quarterback Jeremy Hunt has put up numbers this year that top the MIAA conference. His 17 passing touchdowns, 39th in the nation, place him in first for the conference. His 258 passing yards per game, 19th in the nation, also put him into that No. 1 slot.

History is not on the side of the Lions in this matchup. Since 2011, Lindenwood is 0-7 against the Mules, while being outscored 274-143.
