The Lindenwood men’s rugby team defeated three different opponents over the weekend to successfully close their season with a winning streak.

The Lions traveled to Michigan to encounter the University of Michigan on Friday and completely swept the Wolverines for a perfect 76-0 score.

Their following match was against Davenport University on Saturday, and the Lions were narrowly deprived of a shutout victory, defeating the Panthers to finish the match with a 33-3 score.

On Sunday, the Lions faced the Stars invitational traveling team at home, and the story was quite different. The Lions were put up to a challenge throughout the entire match, but came out with a 62-12 win.

This makes it the eighth match in a row that the Lions won. Their last loss was against the St. Louis Royals by a close 29-26 score in October.

The Lions’ next appearance will be next year as they will try to fight their way to the Collegiate Rugby Championships. The Lions finished ranked No. 1 in the Penn Mutual championship in June.
