Each semester, Lindenwood’s J. Scheidegger Center for the Arts schedules professional acts for students and the community.

September:

Starting this Friday, at 8 p.m., An Evening with Jon Dorenbos will be a magic, comedy and inspirational show. After appearing on NBC’s America’s Got Talent and The Ellen Degeneres Show, Dorenbos will be performing on campus for students and St. Charles residents.

The first 150 Lindenwood students get a free ticket to the show, but if you’re not a student tickets range between $39.50 and $79.50.

Jay Leno will be returning to the Lindenwood Theatre with his comedy act on Sept. 14 at 8 p.m. Leno is famous for his former late night TV show, The Tonight Show with Jay Leno and performs over 100 stand-up shows annually all around the country and even internationally.

Back in 2014, Leno researched Lindenwood prior to the performance and made his jokes pertaining to the campus. His stand-up will have opening entertainment by the Steve Schankman Orchestra featuring the St. Louis Blues national anthem singer, Charles Glenn.

Tickets range from $79.50 and $109.50.

October:

Next month, David Clark’s Songs In The Attic, a musical tribute to Billy Joel, is on Oct. 26 at 8 p.m. David Clark is a Long Island veteran singer and piano player and will be performing with a band along side him.

Tickets for the concert will range between $29.50 and $69.50.

December:

First, The Saint Louis Ballet is presenting the second act of The Nutcracker on Dec. 15 at 2:30 p.m.

The classically trained dancers have been choreographed by Gen Horichui, artistic director of the Saint Louis Ballet and former Principal Dancer in the New York City Ballet in 1989.

Tickets range between $29.50 and $69.50.

The 2019 fall semester will end with Martina McBride on Dec. 21 at 8 p.m. McBride is a multiple Grammy-nominated country singer who will perform on Lindenwood’s stage.

Tickets range between $59.50 and $99.50.

Students of Lindenwood can receive a discount for all performances leading up to the open curtain. The prices at that point depend on how many seats are sold for each individual event. All tickets can be purchased in person at the Scheidegger Center box office or the online box office.

Correction: A previous version of this story implied The Tonight Show with Jay Leno is still on air.
