Multi-cultured, bearded, and uniquely funny is the picture painted by Omid Singh’s website. On Wednesday night Lindenwood will be able to see for themselves when Singh performs for students in Butler Loft at 7 p.m. courtesy of Campus Activity Board.

Singh has been all over the country bringing his diverse sense of humor inspired by his Indian and Iranian heritage to clubs and colleges alike. Singh also has also been featured on funnyordie.com and has delved into a bit of acting as well; his most notable role playing a terrorist in the Oscar winning film “Argo.”

“Our campus is so diverse that it just seemed logical to bring someone that had a different cultural background than your average American I suppose,” said CAB president Elise Schmidt.

The event is part of the Welcome Back Week put on by CAB and is free and open to all students.

Schmidt said, “If we get students out of their room and enjoying our event, whether it’s 10 or 100, we mark it as a success because at least the people who chose to attend had a great time, and that’s all that matters in the end.”
