Those who have a sweet tooth can check out the Butler Loft from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. and get some Japanese inspired treats and drinks while they watch some anime courtesy of the Asain Pop Culture Club.
“I’ve gone all three years so far and I know everybody here, plus I like anime!” said LU Junior Liz Arnold.
What started two years ago in a corner of the Butler Loft has quickly grown to encompass the entire Butler Loft. Serving cakes and melon bread from the St. Louis Korean Bakery, Tea from the China Town Market and bread and roll cakes from J&W Bakery. The event hopes to recreate the look and feel of a Japanese butler and maid café.
“I like cosplaying because of the bonding and the meeting of new people, as well as learning how to sew and piece things together in order to make my costumes,” said President Hannah Lewenczuk.
If you’re looking to get a taste of a different culture, or if you’re just a fan of cosplay, then you can’t go wrong.
