About Lindenlink

Lindenlink is a website that provides news and commentary for the students, faculty, administrators and staff at Lindenwood University in St. Charles, Missouri. Lindenlink is produced by Lindenwood students who are solely responsible for the website’s content.

Lindenlink also serves as a learning opportunity for Lindenwood students, especially – but not exclusively – those enrolled in journalism and communications courses. Typically, the students who produce content for Lindenlink fall into one or more of three categories: student workers paid by Lindenwood University, students who provide or edit content as part of class assignments, and students who freely volunteer their services.

The student journalists who produce Lindenlink content are assisted by a faculty adviser paid by the university. The adviser, Dr. Neil Ralston, is a member of the College Media Association, a national organization that serves student media outlets with professional development, research and resources. The Association’s Code of Ethical Behavior strongly warns against advisers censoring students or otherwise controlling the content of student media.

The Lindenlink website is housed and maintained by a private company, School Newspapers Online.

The Lindenlink office is located in room 6 in McCluer Hall on the Lindenwood campus.
