After losing an overtime heartbreaker just two days earlier, the men’s basketball team bounced back with a big road victory Monday night over Emporia State by the score of 71-56.
Cory Arentsen and Sam Mader were the offensive stars for Lindenwood, tallying 16 points each. Arentsen knocked down eight shots in 35 minutes of play, while Mader hit a pair of three-pointers off the bench.
The game was tied at 23 near the end of the first half, and from there the Lions took over, outscoring Emporia 18-6 the rest of the first half to take a 41-29 lead into the locker room.
From there, Lindenwood never looked back, coasting to a 15-point victory, leading by as many as 20 points in the second half.
