Lindenwood University and the J. Scheidegger Center for Arts will host a Republican gubernatorial debate on Wednesday, July 13, in the Lindenwood Theatre. Doors will be open at 6:30 p.m., and the one-hour forum begins at 7 p.m.
The debate will feature the four candidates seeking the Republican nomination for governor of Missouri: Former Missouri House Speaker Catherine Hanaway, businessman John Brunner, Lt. Gov. Peter D. Kinder and former Navy SEAL Eric Greitens. The primary election is Aug. 2.
Candidates will answer questions from a panel of moderators, made up of KMOV anchor Steve Savard, KCTV anchor Brad Stephens and Kansas City Star reporter Dave Helling. Savard will also serve as host of the one-hour broadcast. The debate is sponsored by and will be broadcast live by KMOV-TV.
The event is open to the public, but it is suggested that attendees RSVP due to a limited supply of tickets. Capacity for the theater is 1,200.
