The Lindenwood Lions men’s ice hockey program has reclaimed its third place ranking in the Division I Rankings, according to the latest rankings published by the American Collegiate Hockey Association (ACHA).
Going into last weekend’s games against the Missouri State Ice Bears, the Lions were ranked fifth, but that changed after a two-game winning streak netted the Lions 14 goals.
Lindenwood currently holds a 13-1-3 record for the 2017-2018 season and they are scheduled to resume conference play this weekend.
The Lions have only fallen four times this season to their conference opponents, and three of those four losses were in overtime or shootouts.
This weekend, the Lions are playing the Ohio University Bobcats in Athens, Ohio, for their first games on the road after five consecutive weekends of home games. The Bobcats currently hold a record of 12-3-1.

I am going to feed off the crowd, I love the noise of a big crowd. I’m hoping to bring a physical aspect to my personal game to better the team, and make sure to play on all ends of the ice with endless effort.” [/perfectpullquote]
The Lions lost both meetings against the Bobcats in the 2016-2017 season.
The games at the Bird Arena will be on on Friday, Nov. 17, and Saturday, Nov. 18. Puck drop will be at 7 p.m. both nights and both games are available to be streamed live on YouTube.
