Florida-based rock band Sleeping with Sirens released an acoustic single called “Christmas on the Road” about coming home for the holidays.
The song is about catching a last-minute way home to reunite with family for Christmas after being away from one’s family for “100 days,” as lead singer Kellin Quinn says in the song.
On the band’s official Facebook page, they released a brief one-minute clip that goes along with the theme of the song.
The video features clips of reunions between those serving in the military and their families, which has gotten nothing but positive reviews.

One user wrote: “With my kid being a military dependent, I love this video. It’s so heartwarming.”
Another user wrote: “I cried. It’s been so long since a song touched a nerve.”
Featuring sleigh bells and piano, the song is sure to put anyone who listens to it in the holiday mood.
“While the holidays are a time to gather with loved ones, I think it’s important that we remember that some families have loved ones overseas and they don’t get to see him,” said Katie Kirchoff, who said that the one minute clip on the band’s Facebook page made her tear up.
Choosing an acoustic tracking instead of a fast-paced ballad adds to the emotional appeal that both the song and the video have.
The song fits more to the style of the band’s most recent album, “Gossip,” which has more of a modern feel to it than past albums.
In honor of the song, the band announced that it will be doing acoustic Christmas shows in select cities in Texas, Arizona and Louisiana.
