Here are five things to do this week on Lindenwood’s campus and around St. Charles.
1. Participate in Rush Week for the spring semester.
Jan. 22-27
Lindenwood University’s Interfraternity Council is hosting Spring 2018 Rush where they encourage students to “join something bigger than yourself.” The weeklong event starts with an orientation and ends with bid day. Below is a list of the events going on throughout the week:

2. Enjoy the film adaptations of famous Stephen King novels during this week’s film series.
Tuesday, Jan. 23 and Thursday, Jan. 25

Scary movies are not limited to being watched during October. On Tuesday, viewers can step back to 1980 to see Stanley Kubrick’s famous adaptation of “The Shining.” This film stars Jack Nicholson, Shelley Duvall and Danny Lloyd. On Thursday, the 2017 thriller “It” starring Bill Skarsgård, Jaeden Lieberher and Finn Wolfhard will play on the big LARC screen. More information on the spring 2018 film series can be found here.
3. Step into the Friday Night Live Comedy Zone featuring Jon Fisher.

Evans Commons Dining Hall
Comedian Jon Fisher has performed across the country and has opened for famous acts including Hannibal Buress, Dane Cook and more. Fisher is known for his musical comedy and sketches. Popcorn and mocktails will be served. This event is hosted by Campus Activities Board. Click here for more information.
4. Chill out on Main Street during the Fete de Glace St. Charles Ice Festival.
Saturday, Jan. 27
9:30 a.m. – 3:30 p.m.
100 N. Main St., Saint Charles
Ice carvers from the St. Louis area will join on Main Street to create extravagant ice sculptures. According to the Discover St. Charles website, each carver will have a 260 lb. block of ice to work with using chainsaws, chisels, knives and more. The event is free and open to the public. 5. Experience the musical styling of Wynonna & The Big Noise.

8 p.m.
The Lindenwood Theater
Country music group Wynonna & The Big Noise will be taking the stage at the Lindenwood Theater this weekend. Wynonna has accumulated over 20 No. 1 hit songs and has received over 60 industry awards.
