It’s the last week of regular classes before finals start on Monday, April 30. If you find yourself stressing over the upcoming exams, take the time to get up and out of your dorm. Here are five things happening on campus and around the St. Charles area this week.
1. Enjoy some relaxation with a twist with InterVarsity Christian Fellowship.
Tuesday, April 24
8 p.m. – 9:30 p.m.
Butler Loft
InterVarsity Christian Fellowship is hosting a night of yoga with a fun glow-in-the-dark element. “Glowga” will incorporate the relaxation elements of yoga while also using glow sticks in the dark. Glow sticks and healthy snacks will be available.
2. Get your Mario Party on at Kubrick’s on Main Street.
Wednesday, April 25
9 p.m. – 1 a.m.
218 N. Main St, St. Charles, Missouri
Kubrick’s bar on Main Street is hosting a Mario Party 7 video game tournament. Entry is free and the winner will take home a $50 cash prize. Signups start at 8 p.m. and the tournament starts at 9 p.m. Click here for more information on the event.
3. View an exhibit of artwork made by Lindenwood students and alumni.
Thursday, April 26
6 p.m. – 9 p.m.
J. Scheidegger Center for the Arts
Lindenwood students and alumni will be displaying and selling their artwork during the semiannual Grand Art Bazaar. This event is hosted by the Lindenwood Art History Association. For more information on this event, click here.
4. Unwind before finals week with CAB at the annual Evans Unlocked event.
Friday, April 27
7 p.m. – 2 a.m.
Evans Commons
Campus Activities Board is hosting Evans Unlocked this week with the theme “Welcome to the Upside Down” from the Netflix series “Stranger Things.” There will be a game show with real cash prizes, an escape room, a hypnotist, free food and more. Find out more about this year’s Evans Unlocked here.
5. Out with the old, in with the new. Buy and sell items at the Lindenwood Yard Sale.
Saturday, April 28
9 a.m. – 3 p.m.
Welcome Center Parking Lot
Lindenwood students can reserve parking spots to sell items for $10 in advance or $12 on the day of. The parking spot comes with a table and a chair to set up your merchandise.
