1. Steely Dan with The Doobie Brothers: The Summer of Living Dangerously

Steely Dan‘s music is similar to the style of Bob Dylan with a mix of jazz, traditional pop, blues and R&B and currently have over 2 million listeners on Spotify.
According to the band’s Spotify page, The Doobie Brothers evolved from a “mellow, post-hippie boogie band” to a “slick soul-infected pop band,” and currently have over 4 million listeners on Spotify. Some of the bands most popular songs include “Listen To The Music” and “Long Train Runnin’.”

2. The Bacon Brothers

Delmar Hall
The Philidelphia-native band is made up of two siblings and their band who have one goal in common, which is to make music. The band’s sound is influenced by The Rolling Stones, The Beatles, Motown, Led Zepplin and many more according to their official Facebook page.
Tickets are $35 and can be purchased online through Ticketmaster or through Suite 100 at The Pageant. All tickets purchased in person with cash at Suite 100 will be discounted to face value. Hours for Suite 100 can be found on The Pageant’s website. There is a $2 minor surcharge.
3. Night Riots

Duck Room at Blueberry Hill
According to the band’s Spotify page, Night Riots got its start as a high school band that featured now lead singer Travis Hawley on drums. Instead of signing to a major record label, the band made a name for themselves by touring and playing multiple shows in each city, including high schools, which appeared to work for them, as their fan base grew larger. The band recently put out a single in May of this year called “On The Line.”
Tickets are $14 and can be purchased online through Ticketmaster or in person at the venue. All tickets purchased in person with cash will be discounted to face value. There is a $2 minor surcharge.
4. Billy Currington
Thursday, June 21

Chesterfield Amphitheater
Billy Currington is a country artist from Rincon, Georgia with a following of over 3 million listeners on Spotify. Some of his popular songs include “Do I Make You Wanna,” “Don’t Hurt Like It Used To,” and “Good Directions.”
Tickets for general admission lawn are $35 and tickets for reserved seating are $65 and can be purchased online through Ticketmaster.
5. Brandi Carlile
Friday, June 22
7 p.m.
Peabody Opera House
Brandi Carlile had her stage debut at the young age of 8 after she was taken to a country radio show by her mom. Her music is split between pop/rock and folksy Americana, according to her Spotify page.
Tickets begin at $27 and can be purchased online through Ticketmaster or in person at the Peabody Opera House box office. Box office hours can be found on the event page.
All tickets purchased online come with a digital copy of Carlile’s new album “By The Way, I Forgive You.” An email with instructions on how to redeem the album will be sent to the purchaser within 10 days of purchasing tickets.
6. Hop Along

Hop Along’s most recent album “Bark Your Head Off, Dog,” was self-produced and recorded at The Headroom in Philidelphia, according to the band’s Spotify page. The band has had inspiration from artists like Elvis Costello and ELO.

7. Chicago / REO Speedwagon

According to the band’s Spotify page, Chicago is second to The Beach Boys as the most successful American rock band of all time in terms of albums and singles. REO Speedwagon was one of three bands, alongside Styx and Journey, that were the “undisputed early rock kings of the ’80s.”

The Pageant
Ashanti came into the music scene in 2002 and had multiple singles on charts. She became famous quickly, appearing on magazine covers and urban radio. Her latest single, “Say Less,” was released in March of this year.

9. Griffin House – An evening with

Duck Room at Blueberry Hill
Griffin House is a pop/rock songwriter from Nashville with influences such as Bruce Springsteen and Woodie Guthrie. He currently has over 65,000 listeners on Spotify.
