This week is slow in terms of artists coming to St. Louis, but familiar names such as O-Town, Aaron Carter and Brothers Osborn will be making appearances in DuQuoin, Illinois at the DuQuoin State Fair.
1. Brothers Osborne
Tuesday, Aug. 28
7:30 p.m.
DuQuoin State Fair (DuQuoin, Illinois)
This duo of brothers who go by the names of John and TJ recently won “Vocal Duo of the Year” and “New Vocal Duo or Group of the Year” at the fifty-second American Country Music Awards. Brothers Osborne released an album in April of this year titled “Post Saint Joe” which features 10 songs.

2. POP 2000 Tour

DuQuoin State Fair (DuQuoin, Illinois)
Aaron Carter, O-Town, Tyler Hilton and Ryan Cabrera will be performing. Carter, who is widely known for touring with Britney Spears and the Backstreet Boys, is still active with a solo career.
O-Town, a band that was popular in the 2000s, has over 300,000 monthly listeners. Some of the band’s most popular songs include “All or Nothing,” which has over 17 million streams on Spotify and “Liquid Dreams,” which has over 3 million streams.

3. We Banjo 3
Thursday, Aug. 30

Duck Room at Blueberry Hill
Coming all the way from Galway, Ireland, We Banjo 3 link “old world traditions” to today’s modern music with a banjo, guitar, fiddle and mandolin. The group released an album in July of this year titled “Haven” which has 11 songs.
Tickets are $20 and can be purchased online through Ticketmaster or through Suite 100 at The Pageant. All tickets purchased in person with cash at Suite 100 will be discounted to face value. Hours for Suite 100 can be found on The Pageant’s website. There is a $2 minor surcharge.
4. Loudwire’s Gen X Summer Tour
Friday, Aug. 31

DuQuoin State Fair (DuQuoin, Illinois)
Buckcherry, along with P.O.D, Lit and Alien Ant Farm will be taking the stage. Buckcherry, a Los Angeles rock band that formed in 1995, has many popular songs and is still active today. The band’s most recent album “Rock ‘N’ Roll,” was released in 2015 and has 10 songs.

Delmar Hall
Credited for putting the Los Angeles punk scene on the map, X played music that was both “raw” and “passionate,” and “proved” to be influential in years that followed. Some of the band’s most popular songs include “Los Angeles,” which has over 5 million streams on Spotify and “I Must Not Think Bad Thoughts,” which has over 1 million streams.

6. An Evening with Lyle Lovett and His Large Band

Stifel Theatre (formerly known as Peabody Opera House)
Lyle Lovett is the man behind “You’ve Got a Friend in Me” from the classic 1995 Pixar film “Toy Story.” The song has over 8 million streams on Spotify. Lovett’s other popular works include “If I Had a Boat,” which has over 4 million streams and “She’s No Lady,” which has over 1 million streams.

7. Phil Vassar

8. The Labor Day Comedy Jam

The Pageant
This comedy show features comedians DC Young Fly, Karlous Miller and Haha Davis. This show is age restricted to 21 and over. Anyone who attempts to enter and is not over the age of 21 will be denied entry and no refunds will be given.
