Dog lovers gathered together to cuddle with the canines on the front lawn of Flowers Hall.
The event was held on Friday from 5-6 p.m.
Dog lovers brought their dogs with them so that anyone passing by could pet them.
There were donations for dogs and cats at the table with a wishlist of supplies they need, sponsored by Five Acres Animal Shelter.
“It is really comforting to see these dogs because I have dogs back at home,” Kevin Roca, a Lindenwood sophomore from Venezuela said. “It’s nice for them to bring these dogs because we can’t have dogs in our dorms so this is making up for it.”
Katherine James, one of the dog owners said she brought her dog, Loki, to this event because he likes playing with people and most importantly, he makes students happy.
“Students are stressed out from classes so I think Loki’s cheerfulness will be able to make them a little less stressed,” James said.
Wishes Wag and Whiskers — an event to benefit Five Acres Animal Shelter will be held on Nov. 15 from 6 p.m. to 10 p.m. at Piazza Messina. For more information, visit Five Acres Animal Shelter’s website.
