The Lindenwood gymnastics team beat Centenary College in the Club Gym Appreciation on Sunday afternoon at the Hyland Arena.
The Lions scored a 194.850 to increase their winning streak to four consecutive tournaments out of eight of the season. According to the Lindenwood Lions website, the floor routine was the best of the season so far by earning a score of 48.950.
Junior Samantha Borges from Canada was one of the stars of the day by leading the Lions on bars with a score of 9.725, the best score of her season yet.
Ryan Henry earned the most points for the All-Around with 39.050 and a new high season score of 9.850 in the beam. Andavea Alexander also posted her best score of the season yet of 9.825 on her floor routine.
Kyndall Blaze, Jordan Boogerd and Henry scored 9.775 each to give the Lions a new season-high on the floor routine as well.
The home portion of the Lions’ gymnastics season will come to an end when they host Illinois-Chicago and Pennsylvania next Sunday afternoon at Hyland. The Lions will also celebrate Senior Day and hold an Alumni meet.
