Every semester, Student Involvement dedicates a week to commuter students where they get free lunch, t-shirts, other items and chances to meet other commuter students on campus.
This semester’s Commuter Student Appreciation Week runs from Monday, March 25 to Thursday, March 28.
1. Free coffee outside the Library and Academic Resources Center
Monday, March 25
7:30 a.m. – 10 a.m.
LARC
Come get free coffee, t-shirts and travel mugs outside the LARC to kick off Commuter Student Appreciation Week.
2. Build a commuter kit at the Spellmann Center
Tuesday, March 26
10:30 a.m. – 1 p.m.
Spellmann Center Dining Hall
Build a kit and meet other commuters during this time that includes a power bank, headphones, and a case. For more information, click here.
3. Enjoy free Chick-Fil-A minis and rides around campus
Wednesday, March 27
Breakfast from 7:30 a.m. – 10 a.m. in the LARC and Memorial Arts Building parking lots
Rides from 8 a.m. – 2 p.m.
If students can’t make breakfast on Monday, they’ll have another chance on Wednesday morning. Chick-Fil-A minis, muffins, orange juice, coffee and free lunch coupons for Qdoba will be handed out. Also on Wednesday, commuter students can enjoy rides to class from 8 a.m. – 2 p.m.
4. End Commuter Student Appreciation Week with a cooking lesson and free Starbucks
Thursday, March 28
Cooking lesson from 11 a.m. – 12 p.m. in the Spellmann Center Dining Hall
Starbucks and massages from 2 p.m. – 4 p.m. on the second floor of the LARC above Starbucks
During Cooking with Commuters, enjoy free shamrock shakes and crepes, and also pick up a free power bank kit. And to end the day, get a free coupon for a Starbucks drink and relax with a massage.
