The Spring Music Series kicked off on Tuesday and will continue through the weekend into Monday.
On Tuesday, April 23 was the Percussion Ensemble concert, followed by the Lindenwood Symphony Orchestra and the Lindenwood Band featuring student conductors on Wednesday. These events were held in the Lindenwood Theater.
The Percussion Ensemble concert was held Thursday, April 25 in the Emerson Black Box Theater.
The rest of the series will be held in the Emerson Black Box Theater, and the schedule is as follows:
Friday, April 26: the Jazz Soup/Band at 7:30 p.m.
Saturday, April 27: Jerod Broadbooks senior recital at 3 p.m., and the Guitar and Modern Music Ensembles at 7:30 p.m.
Sunday, April 28: Kaylin Knost senior flute recital at 12 p.m., the Brass, Woodwind and String Ensembles at 3 p.m., and Voices Only at 7:30 p.m.
Monday, April 29: Voices Only at 7:30 p.m.
Jerod Broadbooks, who is performing his senior recital on Saturday and who is also a part of the jazz band and guitar ensemble, said that a lot of dedication is going into his performances.
“This is a performance I’ve been working towards my entire music career, which extends all the way back to when I got my first guitar when I was eleven,” Broadbooks said. “I am excited to share this experience with everyone who attends.”
These events are free and registration is not required, just arrive before the event begins.
