Have you made it your mission to get more involved or go on more adventures this semester?
If you have, here are five reasons you should get out of your dorm room this weekend.
1. Root on some fellow Lions.
The men’s soccer team is playing Christian Brothers University on Friday. The game will be held at Hunter Stadium beginning at 7:30 p.m.
If you miss the soccer team Friday, you have another chance on Sunday to watch at Hunter Stadium beginning at 1 p.m. against Upper Iowa State.
2. Attend First Friday: Poke ́mon at the Saint Louis Science Center.
If you are a Poke ́mon fan, then this is the place to be this weekend.
There will be various activities throughout the night from 6-9 p.m. People can visit the “Dino Den” for card trading with Game Nite, have Poke ́mon Go battles, and design a Poke ́mon card. There will be game simulators, science demonstrations, a showing of Live Sky Tonight, a Q&A with Eric Stuart, the voice of Brock and James in the originals series, and a showing of the first Poke ́mon movie; Mewtwo Strikes Back.
This event costs $18.95 for adults and $13.95 for children 6-12.

3. Attend the New Town Concert Series.
Who doesn’t want to listen to a free concert? If you’re into “That 80’s Band” they will be performing at the New Town Amphitheater on Saturday from 7-10 p.m.
Also the “Larry Gerst Christian Band” will be playing on Sunday from 7-9 p.m.
Remember to bring a blanket or chair. Food and drinks will be available to purchase.
4. Head to the St. Louis Zoo for Vulture Awareness Day.
The zoo will be celebrating Vulture Awareness Day on Saturday from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. outside the Bird House.
The zoo is offering many different educational interactive lessons on subjects such as how vultures catch their prey.
You will also get the chance to compare your wingspan to that of a vulture as well as visit the “vulture restaurant” to learn about what the birds eat at the zoo.
5. Visit the St. Louis Art Fair.
The fair will showcase various local and traveling artists with products such as ceramics, digital media, drawings, and much more.
