We’re almost five weeks into the semester and everyone seems to have settled in. Sorority and Fraternity recruitment has passed, sports are in full gear, and midterms are right around the corner!
The college lifestyle can be hectic, so it’s important to have some fun on the weekends. Here are a variety of activities happening on campus and around the area to fill your weekend with entertainment!
1. Lindenwood Family Day (Sat. 9/21)
Swing by campus with your family for a day jam-packed with fun activities at Lindenwood’s 7th Annual Family Day! There will be ice cream, t-shirts, an International Festival, crafts, and a football game. For more information, check out more info here.
2. Support Lindenwood Athletics
Looking for your daily dose of sports? There are plenty of opportunities to catch a game on campus! The women’s volleyball team will be serving up a game every day this weekend in Hyland Arena, while men’s and women’s soccer and football will be running the field in Hunter Stadium.

3. Turn Up the Heat at the Greater St Louis Hispanic Festival
Take a trip into the Lou to spice up your weekend at the annual Greater St. Louis Hispanic Festival. The event will feature Hispanic Folkloric dancers, over 70 booths, and the Los Ninos Kids Corner with piñatas and traditional Hispanic games and crafts. There will be various live Latino bands playing. Make sure you come with your dancing shoes and an empty stomach.

4. STL Square Off Pizza Festival on the Hill
Sunday, 9/22 11:30 a.m. – 6:30 p.m.
Eight pizzerias will “square off” in Berra Park on the Hill, known for its rich Italian culture. There will be live music, and St. Louis originals like gooey butter cake and toasted ravioli.
The event is happening rain or shine and tickets cost $25 per person.
