Lindenlink staff wins 3 awards at College Media Association conference
The Lindenlink staff traveled last Thursday to the Fall National College Media Association Convention in Washington, D.C. and won three awards.
The Associated Collegiate Press and the College Media Association hosted the convention.
On Friday, the 2019 Pinnacle Awards winners were named. Editor-in-Chief Kayla Drake and News Editor Matt Hampton won third place for Best Broadcast Podcast for “The Spellmann Era.” Hampton said he was grateful for the awards and looks forward to bringing new ideas back from the conference.
“I want to thank Kayla for contributing her golden voice to the project, as well as her hard work and talent for podcasting,” Hampton said. “It would not have been possible without her or the other people who helped us.”
On Saturday at the CMA Film and Audio Festival, Drake also won third place in the Short Documentary category for her video “Former Olympian Balances Parenthood and College.”
“It’s an honor to be recognized for our work at Lindenlink,” Drake said. “And I’m really proud of the stories we told that were awarded.”
Lindenlink.com also placed eighth for Best Website in Show.
