Field Hockey
The Field Hockey team travelled to Louisville, Kentucky, to play against Bellarmine University on Friday and Frostburg State University on Saturday. The Lions lost against Bellarmine University 2-1 but beat Frostburg State University 4-3.
The two matches conclude the season for the Lions who finished with an 11-7 overall record and four for four home games.
Women’s Volleyball
Women’s volleyball lost against Truman State University 3-1 on Friday and Quincy University 3-1 on Saturday at Hyland Arena. On Saturday, the Lions presented gifts to their Seniors. Lion Kelly Wilson recorded 23 kills to match Lindenwood’s NCAA single-match record. The last time a Lion posted 23 kills was in 2012.
Next, the Lions will play against Maryville University Friday, Nov 15 in Springfield, Illinois.
Football
The Lions won 37-31 against Missouri S&T on Saturday, Nov. 9 in overtime to win a share of the Great Lakes Valley Conference championship. The Lions are currently on ninth in the NCAA DII Super Three Regional rankings.
The Lions will travel to Bolivar, Missouri, to face Southwest Baptist in the final regular game of the season.
Men’s Soccer
Men’s soccer lost against Bellarmine University 8-2 on Sunday, Nov. 10 in the GLVC quarterfinals in Louisville, Kentucky. The Lions conclude their season with a 7-7-4 overall record and a 6-5-4 for GLVC play. The Lions had five wins at Harlen C. Hunter Stadium, one tie and three losses.
Men’s Ice Hockey
The Lions won 4-0 and 5-0 against Davenport University. The two wins increase the Lions winning streak to nine, and it is the fifth match that the Lions completely sweep. With only two losses this season, the Lions will head to Oklahoma for two-weekend matches against Central Oklahoma on Nov. 15th and 16th.
Men’s Basketball
The Lions won 75-74 against Parkside on Friday, Nov. 8. and won 108-73 against Ohio Valley University on Saturday, Nov. 9 to top the Prairie Stars Tip-Off Classic. These wins mark the beginning of the Basketball season and the first home game for the Lions will be on Thursday, Nov. 14th at Hyland Arena against William Woods University for a non-conference match. Tip-off is set at 7 p.m.
