Weekly Sports Round-Up: women’s basketball stays undefeated

Women’s basketball

Lindenwood won against Quincy University on Nov. 26 in the Hyland Arena. The final score was 71-48.

Junior guard, Hennessey Handy, was the top-scorer with 18 points and senior forward, Kallie Bildner, had 11 rebounds. The Lions remain undefeated 4-0 this season.

Men’s basketball

In the Lion’s only exhibition game this season, the team faced the DI University of Illinois, who beat Lindenwood 117-65 on Nov. 26.

Although, junior guard TJ Crockett scored a game-high of 24 points.

Women’s ice hockey

The day after Thanksgiving, the Lion’s traveled to Minnesota to take on St. Cloud State and lost 6-0. The game on Nov. 30 was cancelled.

Out of three games against St. Cloud State, the Lions lost two and tied one. The Lions are now 2-10-3 overall for their season record.

Football

Lindenwood lost to Northwest Missouri State on November 30, ending the program’s first DII playoff run. The score was 63-7.
