The Lindenlink Show: Andrew Millians talks about Lindys, Film Series, Russia in the 90’s
March 1, 2020
The Lindenlink Show is a podcast covering news on Lindenwood’s campus and in the community, and featuring interviews with different guests each week.
This episode features Professor Andrew Millians of the Cinema Arts department.
He actually got started in film while he was living in the Russian Federation in the 1990s. Millians talks about his experience in Russia and a sign in his office which he stole from a bus in the Ural Mountains.
Millians and Matt Hampton also talk about the upcoming Lindy Awards for students in the school of Arts, Media and Communications. Submissions opened up last week, and run until March 20.
They also talk about the Lindenwood Film Series, which Millians is in charge of. In the past, there had been low attendance, but this year, they have been showing some more recent films, and there has been more interest. Millians talks about some films they are showing, including best picture-winner “Parasite,” which played in front of a packed house two weeks ago.
