Lindenwood to host Fall Fashion Show
November 19, 2020
Lindenwood University’s Fashion Design program has partnered with a few local high schools to present a high school fashion show for the eighth consecutive year.
Students from Francis Howell North, Lift for Life Academy, and Webster Groves will be showcasing their work in the virtual show on Friday, Nov. 20 at noon via Zoom.
This year, only six high school students will participate, unlike last year’s show which contained 84 participants.
“Since most local high schools are virtual, they have had to change the fashion curriculum, and most students have not been able to sew this semester. Schools cannot send home machines to every student” Ameli Skoglund, show director, said.
Students who are able to participate will be seen in the show modeling their own garments. Due to the pandemic, Lindenwood’s fashion students will not be participating alongside the high schoolers as they have done in the past.
In hopes to show off their work in person, Lindenwood’s designers will present their work for the spring show in May.
