Former Lindenwood student dies in crash

A former Lindenwood student died Thursday morning in a crash in south St. Louis County.

Ryan Craft, 21, was driving off an Interstate 255 exit ramp Thursday at around 9 a.m. when his car reportedly went airborne and struck a rock bluff, according to the St. Louis Post-Dispatch.

At the time of the crash, Craft was not wearing a seat belt, according to the Post-Dispatch and a report from the Missouri Highway Patrol

Craft was taken to a nearby hospital after the crash. There, he was pronounced dead shortly after. 

Craft attended Lindenwood in 2018-19, and later transferred to Fontbonne University in Clayton, Missouri. He graduated from Mehlville High School in 2018.

Visitation will be on Tuesday, Sept. 7 from 3 p.m. to 9 p.m. at Kutis Funeral Home in Afton. Service will be on Wednesday, Sept. 8 at 11 a.m. with visitation at 10 a.m., also at Kutis Funeral Home.
