What’s leaving and coming to Netflix this month: December edition

December is around the corner, and as the winter break is about to begin, Netflix starts to prepare what is going to keep its audience occupied during the holidays.

Holidays are the best time to binge-watch some TV shows and discover new movies. After the stress of finals, Netflix knows how to take care of its viewers.

Every month, Netflix removes some TV shows and movies to make some space for the new ones. Here’s what’s being added and removed in December:

What’s leaving Netflix:

  • December 7: Before I fall.

A popular high school student realizes that she may be reliving the last day of her life over and over again until she does things right.

  • December 21: Private Practice Season 1-6

After failing to get back with the two men in her life, Dr. Addison Montgomery leaves Seattle Grace Hospital for Los Angeles. There, she reunites with college friends, including Naomi and Sam, and accepts a position in a clinic.

  • December 31: Titanic

In 1997, the wreckage of the Titanic was the subject of a feverish exploration, carried out by treasure seekers in search of a blue diamond that was on board. Struck by a television report, one of the survivors of the shipwreck, aged 102, Rose DeWitt, goes there and talks about her memories.

  • December 31: Gladiator

The Roman general Maximus is the most faithful support of the emperor Marcus Aurelius, whom he led from victory to victory. Jealous of Maximus ‘prestige, and even more of the emperor’s love for him, Marcus Aurelius’ son, Commodus, brutally arrogates to himself power, then orders the general’s arrest and execution. Maximus escapes his assassins, but cannot prevent the massacre of his family. Captured by a slave trader, he becomes a gladiator and prepares his revenge.

What’s New:

  • December 1: The Legend of Zorro

Joaquin, the son of Don Alejandro de la Vega – alias Zorro – and his wife Elena, is now 10 years old and does not know anything about his father’s secret identity. Elena would like Alejandro to put away his mask for good to finally devote himself to his family. Her husband considers that it is still too early to retire as a vigilante. Elena feels betrayed and files for divorce.

  • December 1: The Final Destination

Final Destination, or Ultimate Destination in Quebec, is a series of American horror films made up of five films. Each film features a deadly disaster. One person, among all the victims, has a vision that reveals the sordid behind the scenes of this future massacre.

  • December 17: Fast & Furious Spy Racers: Season 6: Homecoming

Tony Toretto and his friends are recruited by a government agency to infiltrate a street racing league that actually serves as a cover for a criminal organization that seeks to dominate the world.

  • December 22: Emily in Paris: Season 2

Emily Cooper, a young marketing director in Chicago, is hired by a famous Parisian marketing agency in order to put her American perspective at the service of her future clients.
