The 2022 spring commencement ceremonies are less than a week away and will take place at a new location this semester.

This year, graduation will be held on the campus of Lindenwood University at Hyland Arena.

Having graduation on campus will bring about a meaningful connection to students to commence one’s degree on the campus it all started on.

“It’s kind of an opportunity for the graduates to have that one last memory on-campus, also with their families too,” Graduation Coordinator Christine Hanner said. “Our campus is so beautiful and has so many wonderful things to just be able to visit on that particular day to take photos after or before versus having it at the venue that wasn’t on-campus. It just give you that [greater] opportunity to share some memories on last time.”

The commencements will go as follows:

Friday, May 6, at 7 p.m. the Plaster College of Business and Entrepreneurship – degree levels: graduate and undergraduate.

Saturday, May 7, at 10 a.m. College of Arts and Humanities — degree levels: graduate and undergraduate.

Saturday, May 7, at 2 p.m. College of Science, Technology, and Health — degree levels: graduate and undergraduate

Saturday, May 7, at 7 p.m. College of Education and Human Services – degree levels: EdD, EdS, graduate and undergraduate.

Each graduating student is granted six tickets. To assure all families get to witness their loved one’s graduation, the university will be broadcasting each ceremony at their respective times.

Guests will be allowed to enter the building one and a half hours before the event begins. Guests are allowed to enter through either of the doors directing to Hyland Arena.

Tickets will be checked for everyone entering the building, but seating will go according to a first come, first served bases.

While in the arena, wearing masks will be optional.

All information or questions can be found on the university website.
