With just under 90 days until graduation, the deadlines for graduates to prepare to receive their degrees are quickly approaching.
Academic Services said the deadline to apply to receive a degree in May was Feb. 1 and the deadline to apply for a degree in August will be June 1. Students can check their application by going to the student portal, selecting programs of study, and searching for “Pending Graduate” under status.
Academic Services also said they are sending out invites and reminders to graduating students so they can order their regalia. Candidates who completed their degree in October or December receive the communications as well.
Upcoming Graduation Deadlines:
- Ordering Custom Stoles through Student Involvement – Feb. 15
- Ordering Graduation Cords through Student Involvement – March 1
- Ordering Regalia through Academic Services – March 8
- Registering for Guest Tickets – March 31
- Academic Services will monitor a late registration process starting on April 1 for tickets
- August Graduation Application – June 1
Registrar for Academic Services Christine Hannar said that whenever students order their regalia through Herff Jones, that is their RSVP for attendance to graduation. Students should not order their regalia through any other vendor.
Hannar said graduates can receive four tickets to graduation. Students will also be able to select more tickets from a waitlist.
Graduates can either pick up their tickets for graduation from the box office or have them mailed to them. The deadline to have tickets mailed is March 31.
Hannar said Academic Services will send follow-up emails to graduating students about the ticket registration process after they place their regalia order.
“Students should ensure we have a correct mailing address on file, they can update within their student portal if needed so the diplomas will be mailed to the correct address after degrees have been awarded,” Hannar said.
Hannar also said that Academic Services will monitor a late registration process for tickets starting on April 1.
Madison Shaw, the director of student involvement, said the Student Involvement facilitates any student organizations wanting to purchase custom stoles or cords for their members with the expectation of FSL. Gracie Gentzler is the point of contact for all Student Involvement regalia requests.
Students can access the graduation page on Lindenwood’s website for more information regarding the ceremony.
