Lindenwood’s men’s soccer team recently took on the University of Illinois Springfield in an exhibition spring match between the two universities.
Both schools are looking to expand their programs for their upcoming fall schedules, with new players debuting for both schools, including new Lion John Gates, who is a local player, but previously played at Loyola University in Chicago.
The final score of the game saw Lindenwood win 4-2, with Cameron Caldwell scoring the first of four goals for Lindenwood. Ethan Blake scored two goals of his own, and Parker Smith also got in on the action, scoring a goal of his own.
The next spring game of the Lions’ season is yet to be determined.
