Last Friday night, Sept. 13, Lindenwood held its yearly Late Night Roar.
“I saw the event flyers out,” senior Matthew Hansen said. “I’ve just been trying to go to different events and find new people to connect with, and that brought me to the Late Night Roar.”
The Late Night Roar is held in the Evans Cafeteria, with music played, and pancakes served with various juices. It even has stars hidden across the cafeteria for students to find and win prizes from, including dining dollars.
“I thought it was a fun time, hung out with my friends, and had some good food,” sophomore Jesiah Murrell said. “I liked that I could get as many pancakes as I wanted, though maybe even add bacon next time.”
According to Hansen, the Late Night Roar is one of the biggest events of the year, especially with the number of students it draws. Hansen also feels it is a major chance for students to socialize, take a break from schoolwork, and have a fun time.
“With a lot of the other events, there will be some people there, just smaller crowds,” Hansen said. “But events like this draw large crowds so there will always be some people you know.”
A similar event, Late Night Breakfast, will be held towards the end of the semester, giving students a similar opportunity to socialize as well.
